Tuyet’s aspiration to become a dental hygienist emerged from her orthodontic experience. “With severe crowding of my teeth and malocclusion, I had gum and chewing problems, and was not happy with the appearance of my teeth. After braces, my smile changed significantly, I was able to chew properly, brush and floss easier, and thus, improve my oral health and well-being. The difference it made for me overall sparked my interest in dentistry.”
